German Village Walking Tour, with Lunch at Schmidt’s

A brand new event for our alumni club!

Date: Saturday, Oct 12, 2019
Time: Walking tour 11am,
Lunch 12:15pm

The German Village Tours office is offering us a wonderful opportunity for us to tour one of the Columbus area’s most historic neighborhoods. They will tell the stories of the German immigrants who settled the area in the 1800s, the decline of the 1900s and the restoration movement that resulted in the beautiful village we have today, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The tour will last 60 – 75 minutes and end at Schmidt’s for lunch.  Our alumni club’s own Gail Stoy is one of the tour guides.

Special Note:  Please remember to dress for the weather and wear flat, sturdy walking shoes. Our brick streets are charming, but can be uneven!

The lunch buffet includes:
Schmidt’s own fresh Pork Bratwurst
Smoked Bahama Mamas
Baked Chicken (legs & thighs)
Chunky Applesauce
Green Beans with Bacon
Sauerkraut with Pork
German Potato Salad
Tossed Green Salad, Rolls & Condiments
Schmidt’s Mini Cream PuffsCoffee, Tea, Iced Tea & Soda

Cost: $30/person includes guided walking tour and Schmidt’s buffet detailed above, including tax and tip.  Bar charges are separate.
