Annual Scholarship Banquet

Join us for a Celebration three years in the making! Back after a two-year Covid hiatus, our annual Scholarship Banquet will honor the 2020 and 2021 recipients of our Franklin County Alumni Scholarship, along with our newest honoree for 2022. The event will be held at the Longaberger Alumni House (2200 Olentangy River Road) on Thursday, June 16. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 pm, with dinner served at 6:30 pm.

Our special guest speaker this year is Greg Lashutka, former mayor of Columbus, longtime civic and community service leader, whose ties to Ohio State go back to his days on the football field and in the broadcast booth.

This event is also our annual Silent Auction fundraiser for our scholarship fund, so bring your wallet because there will be many Buckeye treasures available for purchase! All proceeds go directly to our Scholarship fund, so please help us support these terrific future Buckeyes.

BUCKEYE BASEBALL BIG TEN FINALE MAY 14

Saturday, May 14, watch the Baseball Buckeyes close out BigTen play against conference rival Penn State.  We will also host a pre-game tailgate party.  Tickets will be $15 per person, and will include all the food and beverages at our tailgate, plus your entry into the game.  This is a very family-friendly event, so bring the kids & grandkids! First pitch is at 3:05 pm.

SCARLET vs. GRAY SPRING FOOTBALL GAME: APRIL 16

What a better way to kick off Spring than to enjoy some Buckeye Football!!  The Scarlet vs. Gray spring football game will be on Saturday, April 16 this year. We’ll order a block of tickets, and we’ll host our traditional tailgate party.  Game time is currently scheduled for 12 Noon.

WINE BISTRO DINNER ON WEDS APR 20

Our semi-annual dinner and wine tasting at the Wine Bistro on Lane Avenue will be on Wednesday, April 20 at 6:30 pm.

There is limited seating available, so get your reservation in early!  Parking is available around the Wine Bistro, behind the building (very limited), or on the street, or also across the street in the Lane Ave Shopping Center.  The chef will provide an amazing 4-course dinner, with wines paired to complement each serving. You’ll be able to order bottles of the wines you like right after dinner!

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL EVENT FEB. 20

Join us for our annual gathering to cheer on the OSU Women’s Basketball team!

The Franklin County OSU Alumni Club will have a block of tickets to the Lady Buckeyes’ last weekend home game of the season, vs. Wisconsin, on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 2:00 pm. We are working on plans to host our usual “Tailgate” party in the Huntington Club (2nd level of the Schottenstein Center).

LADIES HOLIDAY BRUNCH

It’s the event all the ladies look forward to each year!!! 

Saturday, December 11, take a break from the holiday rush and join your fellow Buckeye women for our festive annual brunch. The fun starts at 11 am, and this year we will be at the Polaris Grille, just off Polaris Parkway just east of I-71. We have a private room reserved for our members. This is a great event for you to bring a friend who may be interested in learning more about our club!

WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE PARTY

Come to the December gathering of the Franklin County Alumni Club for our annual holiday party and “white elephant” gift exchange!  It’s always a great time as treasures change hands many times, while everyone competes for the perfect gift. 

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, December 8, at 6:00 pm for a festive evening. This year we will be back at the Longaberger Alumni House on Olentangy River Road.  Dinner and desserts will be served.

FOOTBALL TICKET SCHOLARSHIP RAFFLE

This years raffle has completed and, all money raised thru raffle tickets went directly to our Scholarship fund to help a future Buckeye.

We will dot it again in 2022 and should have the same great seats, in section 16C ROW 1, with seatbacks! Tickets for the raffle are $5 for 1 chance, $25 for 6 chances or $50 for 13 chances.
