They will tell the stories of the German immigrants who settled the area in the 1800s, the decline of the 1900s and the restoration movement that resulted in the beautiful village we have today, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The tour will last 60 – 75 minutes and end at Schmidt’s for lunch. Our alumni club’s own Gail Stoy is one of the tour guides.
The Ohio History Center is celebrating our state’s rich history in athletics with a special exhibit entitled “Truly a Champion of Sports.”

Our annual scholarship banquet will be held Wednesday, June 5 at the Longaberger Alumni House and will feature Joshua Perry from the 2014 National Champion Buckeyes football team.
The banquet includes our annual silent auction scholar-ship fundraiser, as well as the culmination of the year’s events for our alumni club. Our newest scholarship recipient for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic year will be introduced.
Perry was the team leader in tackles during the 2014 inaugural CFP Championship run, and was named to the First Team All-Big Ten roster his senior year. After a few years in the NFL, he has come back to Columbus and is the Founder and CEO of the Joshua Perry Family Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to helping children with a variety of life challenges. He and his family exemplify the “Pay It Forward” Buckeye spirit by giving much time and energy to the annual Buckeye Cruise for Cancer.
