Our Annual Football Raffle Has Begun!

It’s time for our annual raffle of our Presidents Club football tickets!  The OSU Alumni Club of Franklin County has a pair of tickets to every home game this season, and we’re making all of our seats available again this year in our raffle.

All money raised goes directly to our Scholarship fund to help a future Buckeye.  We have a pair tickets to every home game this season, and they are up for grabs.

All home games will be available, and raffle tickets are still just $5 each, $25 for 6 tickets, or 13 tickets for $50.  If your name is pulled, you have the right to purchase our club’s pair of tickets for that game.  These are great seats in Section 16C, ROW 1 and include seatbacks for your comfort!

The cost of the tickets varies per game, just like if you bought them online. The first drawing will be in late August and will include the first 4 games:

  • 8/31    Akron
  • 9/7      Western Michigan
  • 9/21    Iowa
  • 10/5    Marshall

The second drawing will be in early October and will cover the final 4 games:

  • 10/26     Nebraska
  • 11/9       Purdue
  • 11/23     Indiana
  • 11/30     That Team Up North

We are not allowed to sell the raffle tickets on our website. Send checks (made payable to “OSU Alumni Club of Franklin County”) to Leyla Hawkins, 1149 Tillicum Drive, Worthington, OH 43085.  Or bring cash or checks to the August 14 club meeting at the Alumni House.

Picnic with the Police!

Come help us “Serve Those Who Serve!”  On Wednesday, Sept. 25, our alumni club will show appreciation for the OSU Police and Public Safety Dept. by serving lunch for all the officers as well as their administrative staff. This event has been extremely popular the past few years, and the police department is grateful to have us back again. We’ll be grilling and serving a “Tailgate” style lunch, so we need a few folks to help set it up, and a few to clean up after.  We also need a couple of grill masters. Join us for this great opportunity to give back to those who serve and protect the students and staff of our great campus!

We’ll have two shifts: we need some people to help set-up and serve from 12:30 to 3 pm, and some people to serve and then help clean up from 2:30 to 5:00 pm.

Sign up to participate by emailing us at OSUAlumniFranklinCounty@yahoo.com with your name, phone # and email address, and which shift you’re available for.

Come help us say “Thank You!” to these hard-working individuals!
