TAILGATE FOR MINNESOTA GAME  NOV. 18

Join us as we host our fellow OSU Alumni club from Minnesota, coming to Columbus to watch the Buckeyes play the Gophers!  We’ll have our tailgate set up on the 6th floor of the Tuttle garage, overlooking the Stadium with a great view of the marching band, as they travel from the Stadium to St John Arena and back.

For only $10 / person, you can enjoy all of the food and beverages you want!  We’ll have 2 big tables with sandwiches, salads, deli trays, snacks, desserts, and more! — plus sodas, waters, and “adult” beverages.

This is a family friendly event, so feel free to bring the kids. Game time is not yet established, but we will begin our tailgate 3 hours prior to kickoff, whenever it is.  Whether or not you are attending the game, come for the party!

OSU HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE PRESENTATION AND DINNER

Save the date!  Thursday evening, Nov. 2 at the Longaberger Alumni House, guest speaker Barbara Powers of the Ohio History Connection will offer a presentation about Frank Packard, the architect who designed some of the original buildings on campus, built between 1880 and 1900. Come learn about some of the origins of the Ohio State campus!

We will provide a catered dinner to enjoy prior to the presentation, “OSU Origins: Architectural History of Early Campus Buildings.” The program will last about an hour, with time for questions at the end. Dinner will begin at 6 pm and the presentation will start around 6:30.

Ms. Powers has 41 years of experience with historic architectural programs, and has authored several publications on architectural history.  Current buildings Hayes Hall and Orton Hall, as well as the famous Armory Gymnasium, are among the buildings we’ll learn about. The program is only $10 / person including the dinner.
